Job Openings: Brand & Community Engagement Specialist - Ionia Main Office

Duties:

M1 is seeking an energetic, relationship-focused Brand & Community Engagement Specialist to help strengthen our presence throughout the communities we serve. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting new people, promoting meaningful initiatives, coordinating events, and bringing our brand to life through community involvement.

As the Brand & Community Engagement Specialist, the individual will work closely with our marketing partner and internal teams to support marketing campaigns, community outreach efforts, sponsorships, events, and financial education initiatives. This position will serve as a visible ambassador for M1, helping build relationships, increase brand awareness, and support our mission of improving the financial well-being of our members and communities.

• Coordinate and support local marketing campaigns, promotions, and outreach efforts in partnership with the credit union's marketing team.
• Represent M1 at community events, school functions, chamber activities, sponsorships, and other local gatherings.
• Assist with planning and executing community events, member appreciation activities, financial education programs, and community partnerships.
• Gather stories, photos, and event highlights to support social media, website, newsletter, and other marketing content.
• Collaborate with departments across the organization to promote products, services, events, and community initiatives.
• Help strengthen community relationships and identify opportunities to increase brand visibility and engagement.
• Track and report on event participation, sponsorship results, outreach activities, and community engagement efforts.
• Support the credit union's mission by promoting trust, financial wellness, and meaningful community connections.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in marketing, communications, community outreach, event coordination, public relations, or financial services preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
