Serving Members. Serving Community
Your Michigan One Community Credit Union is determined to continue its role as the premier community leader. This leadership role is driven by:
- Helping local organizations tell their story
- Actively participating with local nonprofits through financial support
- Ongoing employee participation with local nonprofits of their choice
Michigan One Community Credit Union promotes the growth and well-being of the communities in which we do business through community involvement. All M1 staff members choose specific organizations to volunteer their time each year. Employee efforts have contributed to thousands of volunteer hours served and an impact that spans even further.
In 2020, M1 Staff Members volunteered 574 hours in the community.
As your community credit union, M1 is committed to supporting organizations and group efforts that provide needed services to local residents and communities.
In 2020, Michigan One donated more than $57,000 in cash, item donation and sponsorships to various schools, foundations, and local organizations that fit within the M1 Partnership Focus.
Each year, M1 staff members from each Office choose a specific charity to support through different fundraising activities. M1 currently supports Adopt-a-Family in Ionia, Keeping Kids Kozy in Carson City, The Greenville Public Schools Opportunities for Success Program in Greenville, and Project PAWS in Alma.
In 2020, M1 Staff raised over $4,000 for these four charities.
Year-End Community Bonuses
The primary focus of M1’s year-end community donations is to provide needed resources to local organizations that can help children and families in need during the holiday season. This includes schools, food pantries and other family-oriented organizations. With a secondary focus in providing funds to nonprofits that are active and well-known within our communities to provide beneficial services to their residents.
