Michigan One Gives $25,000 to the Community

As part of Michigan One Community Credit Union’s (M1) Community Partnership program, M1 again issued their Year-End Community Bonuses. These Community Bonuses are issued each year as a way to show appreciation to M1 members and the communities they live in, for another successful year.

This year’s community donation total was $25,000 and was donated to local nonprofits in the Ionia, Greenville, Carson City, and, for the first year, Alma Areas. Sixty-four nonprofits were recognized this year; many that focus on helping children and families in need during the holiday season. Since the start of M1’s Year-End Community Bonuses, M1 has donated over $235,000, which is in addition to their giving throughout the year.

“This is our eleventh year of issuing M1 Community Bonuses,” said Tim Hemenway, CEO of M1. “But year-after-year the excitement never fades. These year-end bonuses demonstrate M1’s commitment to our communities and helping those in need. We thank our credit union members/owners for choosing M1 as their go-to source for financial services. The commitment of our owners to M1 ensures our ability to continually give back. Having a dedicated staff and board of directors plays a major role in why people choose M1 and the key reason for our success.”
